Closed up the MAPS season for good today at Laughlin Bottoms, where we caught only 5 birds- 2 Ovenbirds, 1 Northern Cardinal, 1 White-eyed Vireo, and 1 Common Yellowthroat. Getting everything packed this afternoon and ready for an extra early start tomorrow morning for Colorado!

August 3, 2010 Proffitts Prairie
Exceedingly hot today, the temperature reached 93 degrees by 0845 so we only banded for a little over 3 hours. Also swarms of horseflys this morning, one net had about 20 entangled at one point
